10 Michelin Stars for Mallorca 2019
Mallorca will keep all its Michelin stars in 2019. New in the star squad is the restaurant Voro in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Canyamel, where chef Alvaro Salazar ensures the highest culinary delights. The talented Spaniard previously cooked at the La Goleta Hotel de Mar in Port de Pollensa, where he also held a star. In total there are 9 restaurants in the famous "red book" again, waiting to be discovered.
The Zaranda in the five-star hotel Castell Son Claret in Es Capdellà is the only restaurant in Mallorca with two Michelin stars. The Madrid-based chef Fernando Pérez Arellano serves innovative cuisine in the hotel's elegant dining room and patio.
The Es Molí d’en Bou in Sa Coma was honoured with a Michelin star for the 16th consecutive year. Tomeu Caldentey, a native Mallorcan, provides heavenly delights on the plate.
Adrián Quetglas in Palma also has a star. Chef Adrián Quetglas previously worked as sous chef for Marc Fosh in Moscow, where the Argentinian with Mallorcan roots made his name with high-quality Spanish cuisine.
On the terrace of the star restaurant Andreu Genestra in the Hotel Predi Son Jaumell in Capdepera, you can enjoy a meal overlooking the old castle. The Mallorcan chef Andreu Genestra relies on organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, olives and wine from his own home for his haute cuisine.
The Es Fum at the St. Regis Mardavall Hotel in Costa d'en Blanes bears the signature of chef Gomera's José Miguel Navarro. He pampers the guests in a luxurious five-star ambience - including sunsets on the terrace.
The German chef Josef Sauerschell provides with his love for the authentic regional island cuisine For culinary delights at Es Racó d’es Teix in Deià. His wife Leonor, born in Deià, is the maître responsible for the well-being of the guests.
Mallorcan Macarena de Castro became the first Mallorcan chef in 2012 to win a Michelin star at the El Jardín in Port d'Alcúdia, which she has been able to hold ever since. The garden is perfect for a romantic dinner in the summer.
The Marc Fosh restaurant is located in the stylish, modern Hotel de la Miso in Palma, a former 17th-century convent. Marc Fosh was the first British chef in Spain whose kitchen was awarded a Michelin star.
