The Day of the Balearic Islands TODAY

It’s a bank holiday today. And yes, that means, that banks and many shops are closed today, BUT, it also means you can join the party, when islanders and island residents celebrate this special day.

With the “Dia de les Illes Balears” the autonomous statute is commemorated, which was put in effect in 1983.

What that means for you? Well, a big fiesta, 4 days long. Where? Along the Paseo Marítimo and on the square Sa Feixina right next to the Es Baleard-museum, and all over the centre really. There are shows, programme for kids, expositions and music and plenty of stalls with dishes from the various regions in Spain.

Have fun!
