The well-known celebration “Es Firó” will be held this Monday in Sóller
Es Firó de Sóller, in recent years, what started as a simple celebration of traditional parties in the town, has become a massive party that brings together neighbors of Sóller, people from other parts of Mallorca, and a lot of tourists.
The party is a recreation, done by hundreds of people, of the attack by turkish pirates and the defense of the city by its neighbors. The celebration, which has been held for decades and which still be lived with great devotion, begins at 10 am with a floral offering at the “Monument to the Heroes” of Sóller. Many hours later, the recreation of the battle starts, and will continue throughout the day.
