Palma Airport recorded in 2015 the best figure in its history
According to an AENA official statement, last year the Palma de Mallorca Airport cleared its last historic annual record, obtained in 2007, with a half million more passengers.
In total, it’s been registered 23,745,131 passengers in 2015, increased by 2’7% over 2014. The record figure obtained in 2007 was 23,228,879 passengers.
In addition to the growth obtained in number of annual passengers, the Majorcan airport also closed 2015 with another positive data: the number of takeoffs/landings at the airport increased by 3.3% compared to 2014.
Monthly, during 2015 there have been eleven months of growth and six monthly passenger records. Specifically, in December 2015, 676,454 people entered/left the island through the airport. This is 7.4% more than December 2014.
Countries with more passengers were Germany (about 139.000 travelers), United Kingdom and Switzerland.
