Nit de l’art - The magical (art) night in Palma on the 23rd September 2017
This night all of your senses will surely be enrichened.
This Saturday night, galleries and museums will unite for the 21st time in the historic centre of Palma, to create a tour for enthusiasts of contemporary art.
The Nit de l’Art has become a cultural highlight in Mallorca. Thousands of visitors usually scrimmage in the pretty lanes of the Casco Antiguo all the way to Santa Catalina to visit interesting exhibitions in the numerous galleries, enjoy inspiring perfomances and installations on squares such as La Rambla, Plaza del Mercado, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Porta in Santa Catalina and discuss their impressions with friends or family or even like-minded strangers.
The atmosphere is unique and unforgettable. There is even food and drinks available in the various places and even musical performances can be heard here and there.
Local but also international artists and their pieces of art are being presented and big museums such as Solleric, Baluard, Miro, Misericordia, Sa Nostra and Caixaforum can all be visited for free. Art enthusiasts of all ages with the most different interests in art are roaming around that night: Art collectors, who might be looking for a colourful piece to decorate their far too empty living room wall, but also families with kids, who might want to teach their children about multilayered observing and thinking, but also one or the other curious being, that is just looking to have a good time in Palma’s lanes with his friends.
Between 19.00 and 23.30 all of your senses will definitely be enrichened.
Come stroll along and have a good time and join the discussion!
The Mallorca Gold Team is wishing you a beautiful Nit de l’Art!
